Our CIPD Certificate in Human Resource Practice gives you a professional HR qualification that will enhance your industry knowledge and enable you to embrace new career opportunities.

The CHRP is ideal for anybody looking to advance in an HR-related field - such as personnel officers, administrators, personal assistants (PAs) or line managers.

Our virtual learning environment means you can study anytime, anywhere, and our specialist business careers service gives you access to a range of professional opportunities.

On completion of your course studies, you will be awarded the CIPD Foundation Level Certificate in HR Practice (CHRP). Upon completing the CHRP you will have gained the knowledge you need to work toward applying for the new Associate professional level of CIPD membership (Assoc CIPD).

What's more, you'll be given the opportunity to join the CIPD. Benefits of membership include full access to comprehensive CIPD online resources and the CIPD HR Profession Map, as well as a subscription to People Management magazine.

Fast-track study programme

Our fast-track tuition will enable you to complete the course in as little as six months. By delivering your training in two separate week-long 'chunks' - Monday to Friday, 9.30am-4.30pm - you'll quickly learn all the essential knowledge you need to start work on your assessments immediately.

The two weeks of training will include interactive discussions led by your assigned tutor, and will be supported with case studies and exercises to bring the relevant subject matter to life. This will also give you the perfect opportunity to network, share thinking and draw on the experiences of your tutor and fellow students - all of which will further increase your knowledge and enhance your professional prospects.

Each training week will be followed by three months of distance learning, when you will work through relevant course materials on a self-study basis. Typically this will take a minimum of six hours of your time per week. You can use our dedicated virtual learning environment as a guide, and you will of course have access to your tutor and other administrative support throughout this time.

Entry requirements

The BPP CIPD Certificate in HR Practice is open to anyone. However, the course will benefit you most if you already have some relevant HR industry experience and can access HR related information.
